Who We Are
The Children Concern Foundation (C.C.F.) is a Non – Governmental Organization (NGO) located in Tanzania, quite near famous safari areas such as Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater. We provide housing, schooling and general care for orphans and vulnerable children in our community. We aim to serve children who have no parents or have one parent but are living in a hostile environment or extreme hardship.
C.C.F. was established and legally registered under the number 00005153 in the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in 2010. The Founding member was Mr. Andrew Joshua, a member of the local community. Mr. Joshua administers C.C.F. to this day, assisted by a team of talented employees and volunteers.
We started the Children Concern Foundation after realizing that there was a great need to assist the orphans/vulnerable children in our area. Through support from our community and many donors, our organization has grown stronger and more impactful on our community. The center is now able to accommodate a total of 36 Children, ages 4-18 years old. Children Concern Foundation receives its grants, donations, and financial support from tourists and other interested individuals.
Historically, C.C.F. Centre was started by renting a building at Kirurumo in Mto wa Mbu Village. In the year 2013, we constructed what is our current home center, primarily through donation funds from tourists who visit our facility while on safari.
